I also mill just before the mash. I've found I can mill all my grain for a 5 gallon batch while the strike water is heating up, so I multi-task that way and save a little time.

Still, I've been doing that for a while now, and it's only been relatively recently that I've noticed this phenomenon.

I really think it's my choice of yeast.
