Leigh I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's accident. Cars can be repaired or replaced and thankfully she's fine. A similar thing happened to my daughter several years ago when the car she was a passenger in ran into a tree, my wife and I know the panic you must have felt. It's times like these that make us wish we could watch over our kids 24x7.

Thank goodness she is okay. As a parent, I would be counting my blessings and freaking out right now.

Wow - scary stuff. Parental nightmare. Thank the BIG guy she's OK. That car looks bad.

I got one of those calls last year and thankfully our outcome was the same as yours.

Good Lord! What a harrowing experience for parents and child both! Take time to hug your lovely daughter some more, Leigh, and thank God that they're designing safer cars.

And when you all wake up in the morning, hug each other again. And thank God for the pain of the bruises; it could have been so much worse.

She should hug you for knowing how to pick cars Dad.

Glad she is okay, if not sleeping nights for a while.

That is terrifying to see. Do you know what happened? Appears she just took her eyes off the road for a moment but that is all it takes unfortunately. Glad everyone is alright, especially your daughter. My wife and I both owned Focus' for a while. My wife still has one. I really liked the safety of the vehicles and the fact that mine had 180K miles on it before trading it in. Good luck in the new car hunt too!
