A shout box would likely require either a plugin ($$$) or custom programming ($$$ and/or time), so I don't think that's likely, but depending on how flexible the forum software is, adding a forum (or subform) might be fairly straightforward. I'll ping Leigh on the possibility of adding a food forum and a forum for award winning recipes.

You do realize that asking about stuff like the shoutbox and the rotating BOTM sidebar is quite possibly why the IT people over at Mr. Beer who were not capable of implementing either decided to just shut down the site instead?

I did not know that prof. I am not asking for anything like that just curious. I am happy that at least I have a place to come to and talk beer.
