Nice potato stick can reference!!!! Saw that type can originally on a Beer Geeks episode from Sam Adams, Koch settled on something a bit different for what he said were littering laws. What Ink said, supposed to open your senses up to the aromas and flavors.

Looking online I had no idea that those canned 'shoestring' chips were still available. But I'm not allowed to grocery shop so what do I know?
I tire of gimmicks from beer companies. That Sam Adams Nitro IPA is awful and the nitro makes it worse I think.

You are still going to smell the aluminum which will adversely affect your perception of the taste of the beer. That is why you always pour from a can to a glass.

I also have a snobby and possibly old man's syndrome still when it comes to drinking from cans. However, I am getting better...Had a Santa Fe Happy Camper IPA in a can this weekend and it was ok. But I like looking at the color, clarity etc of a beer thru a glass. Sort of my Rose colored glasses thru life kinda thing.
Yes, I do need help.
Re: New type of beer can?
I think many (maybe all? ) beverage cans are now lined so the aluminum shouldn't be perceptible.

That is from the inside. You will still smell the outside of the can. Your sense of taste is tied into your sense of smell. Even the breweries canning their beers recommend you pour into a glass for this very reason.bpgreen wrote:I think many (maybe all? ) beverage cans are now lined so the aluminum shouldn't be perceptible.

Except for Heady Topper - they recommend drinking from the can.
Just throwing that out there.....but maybe they are rebels.
