Great way too nearly start the new year. Looking forward to it. Guess I'll have to bring my good behavior with me this trip.

You haven't "brought your good behavior" before, what makes this year different?  :fillup

So, what are you guys bringing these days in the way of beer? Some homebrew to share as well as some local beers that aren't available elsewhere? Or are you just buying there? I figured on doing some of both homebrew and local beers, but wanted to make sure that was the gameplan...

With all the drinking we'll be doing on our tours and pub visits, I think we will likely keep the homebrew down to a small number. I think if everyone brings a homebrew or two to share with everyone, that should be enough.
That said, it won't go to waste!
In the past, after the day is over we've enjoyed the night by sharing homebrew and conversation. It would be a shame not to enjoy the fruits of our labor with so many different styles. No reason to bring a ton of beer but when we have a better idea of the number of bodies, then you can decide how much beer to bring. As 2 of us are flying, we'll be shipping our beers to a buddy to make the trip to Asheville.

Someone better tell Steve not to bring his Nitro system that he put his Brown Ale on last year!

We plan on driving down to Asheville with a cooler and some IPA and Brown Ale that I brewed recently.

One of the things that stick out in my mind about last years trip was that I went home with more beer than I brought with me.

I'll apologize upfront for each and every one of us that already know each other and act like bafoons. But, I am also counting down the days and kegging beer this weekend to quickly carb and bottle to share (nothing exciting though). I hope to finalize info for tours and times next week after I talk with Erik at White Labs and find out if we can get a tour before they are open for business.

Yes I am getting a tad psyched up as we get closer. I have AWESOME memories from both of our previous trips and I'm sure this one will just add to them. I agree with the others about not sending/bringing too much beer......we should have enough to enjoy each others home brews and other bottles of choice after a nice day of 'tasting' at what Asheville has to offer.

I'm sending up only 3 bombers of a porter we just did just so everyone can have a flight of a taste........
