Update*

Our home hit the market basically late last Wednesday night. We had showings over the weekend and had an full price offer by Sunday, less than 5 days. We are jumping on this and already have the deal in the final stages, we are waiting on an appraisal to come in the next few days. Wow, that fast and pretty easy. We did a lot of work to the home in the time we have been there. We also cleared out the house and staged it for showings. I think the hard work was well worth it. We will now begin to seriously look at homes and properties for ourselves.

In the meantime, wow do I have an itch to brew. I am excited to get settled in, set up and get back into things. This weekend I am going to spend some time cleaning out some kegs and my beer fridge and putting more away in storage. Time to start shopping for the Robobrew.

Got a place to stay if it takes awhile to buy a new home? Glad things worked out so far. Maybe the smell of brewing helped sell your home. :)

We do. We have arranged to stay with her sister. They have the room if need be, they have two kids of their own like have and we are all very close. Most of our things are already cleared from the house. So a bit more of that to do and taking more stuff to storage. If we end up there, it will be with only the bare essentials. I told them I'll bring the beer. :clink:

FYI MB, there is a Mash and Boil available now with a self contained pump. Just something to consider.

Thanks, I did see that. I currently have a pump so that's not the main drive for the Robobrew, it's actually the capacity. The Robobrew is 9.25 gals which means I could go no sparge in an all contained one vessel system. This is something I have wanted to do for a while now. Several benefits to doing so for how brew. It's a little more money but I have heard and read a lot of solid feedback on it. I aslo like the programmable controller and it comes with a stainless steel imersion chiller.

Today is the appraisal so after this we are about done until the closing. This weekend broke down, soaked and cleaned 4 kegs. I also broke down, soaked and cleaned my taps and took all that to storage along with a few growlers. Not only is brewing on hold but I am also officially out of home brew. I am really excited to get brewing again and looking forward to setting things up. I need to place an order for a few replacement parts after tossing out my old lines and some fittings. I will fall in love with brewing all over again, it happens every time I take a break from it. It shouldn't be too long and it will be one of the first things on the list for the new house.

Congratulations. Moving into a new place is always exciting especially when you get to set up your own homebrew area from scratch. As for single vessel brewing, you're gonna love it!

Today we closed on the sale of my house so it's now official. We are staying with family while we find something. We moved this past weekend and took our final walkthrough yesterday so all the hard work is done.

I picked me up a bottle of Special Rum to drink and toast with tonight as we celebrate the end of a chapter of our lives and look forward to the next. Going to have a few good beers and smoke a cigar as well.

Congrats to a job well done. Hope the rest of the move in the future is just as successful.

We have looked at 6 houses but nothing we are interested in making an offer on. We have a friend who's Dad is selling his house and is letting us have a chance to make an offer when he is done with the remodeling in a couple weeks. We took a peak in the middle of the work being done and it is the only one we felt could be a possibility but need to see it again with the work complete.
