Just the cliff notes, BeerSmith is on the other computer.

Batch size 5.5 gallons

9lbs, 12oz Maris Otter Pale Malt
12oz Special Roast
8oz Crystal 40
8oz Victory Malt
4oz Chocolate Malt

1.2oz EKG @60
0.50oz EKG @5

I BIAB so the mash started at 154* and ended at 150 after 60 minutes.
Pitched a 1.5L starter of Wyeast 1028, fermented at 68* for 20 days then bottle for 2.1 volumes of carb.
Est. OG was 1.055 and IBUs 25
OG was 1.052 and FG was 1.016

I'm not a Brown Ale guy and made this for a very good friend (after asking him if I went to his house, what beer would I always find in his fridge, answer New Castle Brown Ale). I gave him a case for Christmas, had 2 myself and gave the rest away also except for the 2 that went to the competition. I enjoyed the two I had, but Browns are not my style. I plan on making this again without changing anything and giving him another case this year. Every time he had one, he would tell me the next day at work. It got to where I could tell he had had one before we spoke, just by the smile on his face when I saw him. Yep, you want to keep good friends happy.

Hope this helps.
