Yeah we had our Christmas party for the brew club last sat and I took 2 they seemed to like them. The only change between us is I used honey to prime...waste of honey, the spices cover any honey flavor that might've made it thru. Like Chris I think next time I'll cut the ginger in half and just let it look at a can of allspice.

Hmm, I've had mine in the fridge since I got it. Should I have left it out to condition? I guess it doesn't really matter what the answer is since I didn't.....

Winter Steam. Nice malt profile. Northern Brewer hops have a subtle minty/woody smell. Creamy finish. Should get even better in time.

My Winter Warmer. This was made with Juniper Berries and mulling spices. This is smooth and clear as a bell for a dark beer. The Juniper and spices are subtle. Really happy with how it turned out.

Coffee Stout! My first stout, and I think it's pretty good. Nice chocolate with roasted grains and coffee. Finishes a little bitter, but not too much. Nice on a cool evening.

Tasting my new favorite Homebrew.... An Equinox Double IPA.

Started out at 1.086 OG, finished at 1.010 gravity. This one is 'all about the hops'!
Nugget for bittering; Amarillo & Simcoe thrown in after the boil for aroma; then a massive dry-hop of Equinox hops. The 'nose' of the Equinox reminds me of Simcoe, but the flavor from the dry-hop is kinda fruity. Goodness in a glass!

Firstbpour of my Nelaon Sauvin pale ale.

It was made with some wheat so its nice and hazy.

Kaelia, I love Nelson Sauvin! I just had the last bottle of my batch from last year, and it was awesome! Going to brew that again next. Yours looks great and I like the addition of wheat.

MadBrewer, I'm a graphic designer in my real life. So I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create and lay them out. The labels themselves are from http://laserinkjetlabels.com. They have some that are totally waterproof, which I have use in the past which are great, but I've been using the craft paper ones lately. Not waterproof, but I like the look.

Yeah, you can tell they aren't your ordinary labels. They look really good, quite professional.

Me, too. I'd have to check my notes but this is likely the 5th batch of single-hopped NS pale ale that I've made. I like to add a little to a lot of beers.

This is the first real pour (full pint) of my IPL. I should have waited for the glass to warm a bit to show the clarity...but I wanted to drink it [emoji3]

Good aroma, slightly grainy taste from the Pilsner malt and nice hop flwvors coming through. Smooth and easy, just more character than a typical lager.
I'd almost call it a pale ale lager.
