Can't believe I missed this thread! Here are my side kicks. Usually Togo (husky) lays under my work desk while I am working from home. PJ (Lab) usually lays on her bed in a ball. You will notice a trend with Togo. He is a goof ball! He is definitely a pack dog as he always has to be touching someone or PJ. When he lays with you, he doesn't lay with you.... he lays on you! And I never knew a 45lb dog could be soooo heavy! When he decides he has found his spot he goes limp as a noodle when I try to move him, mostly this happens when it is bed time and he is laying on my side of the bed. Its like trying to move a sack of rocks!

PJ graciously allows him to live here now. She isn't fond of other dogs so it took her a while to not try and kill him but it appears they have made their piece, which took about a year.

Inkleg wrote:Have been thinking about this thread and I'm sorry to bump it with sad news, but we are down to just the Bassett on the dog side. We lost Killian earlier in the year and have just lost Willow. They have all lived the life of royalty. We love them while they are here and cry like babies when we lose them.

How are everyone else's pets doing?
New guys post em if you've got em. Pets are good therapy.
So sorry for your loss. We have been having a lot of health issues with our cat Maceo. Had a surgery this past week to try to help. So far so good. Every day that he is with us and happy is a blessing. Again sorry for your loss, It is one of the hardest things to have to experience.

Here is Maceo photo bombing one of my "first pour" shoots. Turned into a first "purr"…. get it…?

Sorry to hear you lost one of your buds Ink.

All your little guys have always been part of the Borg.

From another pet family who has experienced such a great loss we wish you both the best.

Had a minor emergency tonight my our border collie mix, PJ. Second time in 14 months she had her anal gland sack burst. First time had more things that fought our attention which helped find the issue. This time just a lot of blood. Took her in and they cleaned her up. She is on some mess now and is wearing the cone of shame. She should be back to herself in a few weeks!

WOW, I've heard about that with someone that owns a small poodle. I didn't know it was that common for dogs.

This is my main sidekick, Dottie. I have many others, my house is a revolving door of dogs. But Dottie is mine. Or I should say I am hers. She is my shadow. All I have to do is look near bye and she is there somewhere. She is the enforcer of rules, maintainer of order. She can be the fun police at times. She keeps everybody else who comes around in line if I am unable to. Every dog that comes here learns something from her. Like it or not. She is my "Passover dog" as in she got pulled out of a high kill shelter on Passover 5 years ago, I fostered her, and then ended up falling in love with her so she stayed.

This group of dogs are regulars here. I am their foster dad.

These are some of our other friends who are both service dogs I did boarding/training for.

I could post pictures of at least 100 other dogs. Like I said, my house is a revolving door of dogs between baby sitting, fostering, boarding/training, etc.

My wife would visit you mash and stay. She loves dogs and wants a whole litter of them but space won't allow it where we live now.

Jeff, sorry to hear about Willow. I truly am, my friend.

In hoping a smiling face brightens your day just a bit, Bodie says hi. I took this just a few days ago at a lake where we camped for a week.

Thanks Ron, that made me smile and tear up just a bit. Willow never meet a dog she didn't like or a person she couldn't coax a belly rub from.

Your Nashville belly rubs were the best Paul. :p

I may be sad, but my jackwagon side helps me cope.

I have been busy for the last week getting my fence ready for this guy. I've had Donkeys and Burros since I was 4 years old, last winter my old one died that we had for over 28 years. I wasn't going to get another one but a friend of mine told me I wouldn't be me if I didn't have a Jacka$$ around so I got another one.

I think he meant, if you were the only Jacka$$ around there. :p
