I was thinking of running through all of my Yazoo recipes again starting over these holidays (Sue, Sly Rye, Pale Ale, Gerst, Hap & Harry's, Dos Perros), but that might be a bit silly to share considering you all will be sampling the real thing while here. So maybe I'll defer those until the spring/summer and do something different... Hmm.... Decisions...

Maybe not. We could do a side by side tasting your version next to theirs. But, do what you want. Maybe do something you've never done before. We're going to drink it either way. :)

More Nashville sights and sounds...

Santa's Pub was recently rated as one of the 21 best dive bars in the country by Thrillist and top 19 dive bars in the country by Maxim. I've never been, but it sounds like a unique place. It's a double wide trailer (painted on the outside with Santa pictures and decorated for Christmas inside) run by a dude who looks like Santa. They serve Bud Light ($2) and Yuenger ($3). That's it. The entire menu. Cash only. The draw is that they do karaoke until 2:30am, and occasionally music folks go there to sing... Kesha and Mumford & Sons among others frequent there when they are in town, but usually it's just crappy karaoke singers. Not a craft beer experience, but it sounds like an... interesting... experience nonetheless.

All I can say is that it's shower friendly. ;)

Should have a OG of 1.057 or so, nothing to big. Trying something I've not done before. It's on the hoppy side, just to ease your worries.

I just cancelled my flight, sold my spot in the house and threw away ALL my beers.

Brave man, Jeff! Brewing with 220V in the rain! I'm thinking of doing a Red to bring, Wednesday starts a week and a half off from work so I will have at least one brewday in there.

Sounds like a lot of good beers are going to head to Nashville. Can't wait. I have to take the gravity ready and crash the Chocolate Stout tonight when I get home.

I'm brewing my Nashville Pre-Prohibition Amber this weekend, and maybe one other one before the end of the year. I have several beers that still should be around by then... I'm thinking the Kashi Brett Saison and the two HS2 Brett Brown variants should be serviceable by then. The Red, Maple Rye, and 2014 Christmas Ale as well. Will be looking forward to sharing some of these...

I'm definitely looking forward to those. They're all way outside my beer-box and just another reason I can't wait to be there. I'll just bringing normal stuff.....if it's not drunk, I'll get drunk drinking it all.

Tasting some candidates tonight... The Christmas Ale is outstanding (IMHO), and the Red Ale is pretty darn good as well (IMHO). The Maple Rye is very interesting... not sure if I like it yet, but it's definitely got some character... Still haven't brewed the Gerst, but hoping to do that in the next week or so.

I have a total of 9 people committed for right now. They are: You and your wife, myself, Beer-lord, Inkleg, RedBEERd, Swen, and Dawg LB Steve and his wife.

EDIT...There has been a couple others that mentioned that they were possible, but I haven't seen where they committed yet.

C'mon people. We might not get a chance like this again. Get yourselves to Nashville.
I just have to live that long.......41 days and counting down.
