Good point. It might give the others the motivation to wear them properly.

1,820 miles and 9 days later I finally took a day of off from driving. The top shelf of the beer cabinet has been officially put into service, proudly displaying all of the new bling taken home from our adventure. The weariness and the back aches, from the long hours spent behind the wheel, are slowly fading away thankfully. But the memories of all the fun we had, the great beer we drank and the delicious food we shared will last a lifetime.

My decoder ring says that would be 1 part of my Seat of the Pants Sour Oaked (brewed 11-14) blended with 2 parts Tart of Darkness like clone (brewed 10-15) that was aged with 2.5 lbs dried cherries and 2 lbs dried figs (on 5-2016). The blended beer you have (had) was bottled 10-16.
At that time the same amount of each beer was blended with 3.5 lbs of blueberries added. That beer was bottled 4-17 (18 bottles) and is now referred to as The 3 Year Beer. Both beers were fermented with East Coast Yeast Bug County 20.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Wow really? I see some Terrapin and Bourbon County and other big beers in there. I feel honored to have my beer poured and enjoyed with other people and other beers of that caliber. Thanks for sharing!
What beer were they releasing?

I took Sun King Cherry Busey, Burn 'Em Funk Project #4, and one of my own sours to share. When getting those out, I saw your beers behind them in the fridge and decided I had to open one...
As for the release... Southern Grist Batch 1 Theory (Batch 1B). "This imperial stout spent over 15 months in a 4 Roses barrel, this release receiving a large addition of freshly toasted coconut and cacao nibs. This lightly carbonated beer is full of rich chocolate fudge, coconut meat, bourbon, and smooth roast."
You may remember that we shared a few Southern Grist crowlers while in Asheville. They are an incredible micro here in Nashville that's just getting set to expand from their 4 barrel brewhouse. Great IPAs, sours and funkies, stouts, and that 'melted snow cone' (pictured below)... sweet fruity thick fruit juice... crazy good.

That melted snow cone looks like the blackberry smoothie I made today for my kids.

I was really trying hard to get them to let us have a sneak peak but it didn't work out. Took them long enough.
