The Pinedrops was really good. It was, well, piney. But not overbearing at all. It has a nice balance of bitterness and pine. I would get it again for sure.

Wow, it's been a while since this thread was updated.
I went out today after work looking for Firestone's Luponic Distortion #002 but came up empty. Well, not really empty because my last stop was Whole Foods and they allow for mixer-sixers
On tap at home I have my Red-X Amber and now the Simply Simarillo session IPA so I thought that a little more variety was in order.
From left to right in the pic:
Karl Strauss Mosaic Session Ale: I buy this consistently and love it. It's basically a really good Mosaic Pale Ale.
Firestone 31 Pale Ale: Another favorite and highly rated Pale Ale.
Stone Citrusy Wit: While I'm not a huge Stone fan, this sounds interesting enough to try.
Lagunitas Pale Ale: What can I say? I like Pale Ales!
Almanac Dogpatch Cherry Vanilla: I love this brewery's sour beers. Along with the cherries they used in the barrels, this time they added whole vanilla beans. Their flavors are understated so this shouldn't taste anything like a Cherry Vanilla soda if that is what comes to mind as you read this.
Hermitage Citra IPA: I've reviewed this too many times to count now. Citra! (Sorry, Inkleg)

Wife called me from Tops supermarket today and says... anything you need at the store, I said as long as you are asking and buying, I'd like some beer. She said what you want, they have mixers here. I said summer wheat type beers. She said ok......Here's what she brought home, but I wont come plain, just like you never come plain what the wife packs in your lunch...
It's all good beer..............................

Hahahaha, where's the wheat beers?!?!?!
Re: Mixer-sixer thread
Ha there was none. SA Porch Rocker is a good summer beer though, (a Helles Lager with some lemon) have had it before. I guess I need to school her more on beer selection, but not going to complain she brought beer home for me......Kealia wrote:Hahahaha, where's the wheat beers?!?!?!

Re: Mixer-sixer thread
My neighbors who are not a big beer snobs, um enthusiasts like me won a raffle for a cooler of craft beer so she called me and invited me to go thru and take a few that she and her husband have no interest in.
Below are the brews I was able to score. I love my neighbors
Founders KBS, Stone 20 Anniversary Citracado IPA, Stone Xocoveza, Stone 15 Escondidian Imperial Black IPA, Bell's Special Double Cream Stout, 3 Floyds Blackmasking Oatmeal Stout, and New Holland Dragon's Milk.
