2015 Oktoberfest Ale. Very nice. Good and malty, slightly sweet with a little nuttiness. Used Notty yeast instead of Dusseldorf with the same grain bill this year. Maybe a little dryer and less sweet. Not bad at all for an Okto Ale.

Actually last pour. This had so much orange in it it was really quite refreshing and delicious. As you can see all the stuff I did to get it that much orange flavor killed all head retention.

Sasquash Pumpkin Porter. Sweeter and less bitter than a stout. Malty, roasted yam and subtle spice. Really fantastic.

First pour of a newer style homebrew for me. I had my first 'wheat wine' the week before Christmas at a local brewery taproom. It was delicious, so I am trying my hand at a similar beer. My homebrew is pretty tasty, but a bit raw with the alcohol flavor up front. This one is just carbonated, a bit more aging, & continued tasting will be done. It is very cloudy, will use gelatin on the next batch I try. I will also use a different yeast. I used Danstar BRY-97, which started really slowly. This one came out at 10.2% ABV. The fermentables were: 63% Wheat malt, 13% Pale malt, 13% Munich malt, 4% Honey malt, & 7% Cane sugar. Citra hops were also used, but not too apparent in this brew.

I believe in IPA! First taste of a 2016 brew, brewed on 1/3/16. Belgian IPA, featuring Wyeast 3787 yeast, Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Columbus hops, & Whole leaf Simcoe hops in the keg. This is a double IPA that finished at a whopping 10.3% ABV! Hit finished gravity at 6 days, I then started dry hopping. This one calculates at 97 IBU, but I am really enjoying the aroma & flavor of the dry hop & keg hop additions.

So sorry it didn't work out. 31 unanswered points in the first half and 24 unanswered points in the second half. A different game.

Last night's first pour of my Mosaic Pale Ale. Not quite a SMaSH but singularly-hopped.
Super fruity, light and aromatic. It's going to be an easy drinker and I don't see the keg lasting too long.

2 weeks in the bottle + 2 days on the fridge. It's really good already. This btach has more malt presence and I did better with the bitterness:hop flavor ratio.
It's only going to better!
It needs to settle and clear a bit, but if it doesn't.....hakuna matada.

Belgian White Whale Ale. Was supposed to be a Belgian white IPA but the hops didn't come through like I wanted. Still, very tropical and delicious.

What's better than a first pour pic? A first pour video!
I need more hands than I was born with to be able to hold a glass, pour and take video.
