See David, told you it'd be easier to meet in Nashville.

WOW! This is really getting to be an exciting thread to watch and I'm sorry that I'll have to pull my PC plugs Saturday night or Sunday. :(

Swen I hope you've let the local press know that the Borg is preparing to descend on your city as it sure would be great to see you guys (and home brewing) get some fun press.

OH BLACKDUCK.... did I see you use the words Kealia AND chocolate stout in the same sentence on this thread earlier?   Was that a type O?

Hope you guys all have a safe trip drink ALL KINDS of awesome beers and post a ton about when you get back.

I'm sure I'll run into the New Year thread here in a minute but happy NY here anyway.

Back to index now.

If there is a post for each drink, then the forum will crash. Maybe we should start a youtube channel with a drone following us around.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Just one more time in case anyone needs them......I'm planning on canceling me and beerlord's Best Western reservations tonite or tomorrow morning so if anyone needs this, please either post here or on PM and I'll hold off. If not, by tomorrow i'm freeing them up for some other lucky person who may be in town while the borg is "assimilating" all of Nashville.

OK folks, we are getting close. I wanted to drop a post hear to start finalizing who is going and some of the plans. Once I get a final list of those attending, the details will follow by way of private message to everyone. Some of us have shared phone numbers and I don't want to post any info like that here. I want to make sure that all personal info is only shared via PM.

So here's the list of people confirmed:
BlackDuck
Beer-lord
RedBEERd
Inkleg
Swenocha
Dawg LB Steve
dbrowning
jimjohson

Here are a few that have mentioned that they were interested and were trying to make it work:
Kealia
Yankfan9
D_Rabbit
Knightmare

I apologize if I've missed anyone. Please respond here if you are a definite or not. We'll need to get good numbers for some of the tours that we have set up. And if you weren't on the list above and can make it, let us know.
Again, once I have the final list, I'll PM everyone with the details of the trip.

Really looking forward to it, it's going to be a fun time. :clink:

Maybe they should list what days they are coming since not everyone may be there at the same time.
Swen has done an awesome job of detailing what to do and where to go and I am very grateful to him for that.....as well as Chris for doing all the legwork.
Cheers guys.

I have the days set for those that have confirmed. If you're not on the confirmed list above and you will be able to make it, yes, please include the days you will be there.

Nashville brewing news to whet your whistle...

Jackalope finished their taproom refurb this week (great timing!) and will grand reopen the taproom on Thursday. They will now have 16 taps... and 16 different Jackalope beers! "We will have 16 taps permanently and have as close to 16 different beers as the brewers can keep up with at all times!" That will be some kind of sampler on Friday or Saturday (or whenever we go there)...

Blackstone added a 120-barrel fermentation vessel and a smaller bright tank today, upping their fermentation capacity from 630 barrels to 750 barrels. Annual capacity at the brewery is projected to increase from 15,000 barrels to 18,000 barrels. They plan to increase production of all five core brands, four seasonal brands, two high-gravity brands and The Black List series of hi-grav monthly release beers.

Someone remind me once I get there to just SAMPLE all of these beers, not enjoy a pint of each one. :woot:
