Yup, I hear you Mashani. A lot of times homebrewers, both new and seasoned, get worried about the smallest of details and before they know it, they are so deep in the rabbit hole they completely forgot about the original issue and have found four other issues they think they need to worry about. I’m all for simplicity.

Hi - I'm new here. I have an apple tree in the yard that produces around a 1,000 lbs. of apples each year - most of which end up in the yard waste bin. So this year I decided to try making apple cider and picked up the Brew Demon 2 gallon starter kit.
First batch wasn't good - apples were not ready (juice was really sour) which resulted in a really bland cider, and the juicer leaves way to much pulp so I ended up with nearly as much hard apple sauce as I did cider.
Second batch was much better - I filtered the juice through a stainless steel coffee filter that came with my drip coffee maker which got rid of most of the pulp (I always use paper filters for my coffee so the stainless filter was no being used). The starting juice was pleasantly sweet and the resulting cider was quite dry but with a nice flavor.
Third batch is bottled and bottle aging, while the fourth batch is currently fermenting. If figure I'll be able to do a fifth batch before the apples start rotting - then I'll transition to making beer. :fedora:

I collect the apples in a 5 gallon bucket - a bucket full is around 20 lbs. and makes a little over a gallon of juice. But I'm a bit fussy with the apples - most of the apples have some signs of worms so I quarter each apple and slice out any evidence of worms or other bugs.

Hi I'm pretty new to home brewing it has been something I wanted to start doing for a long time as I love Craft beer. I just finished off my first batch of Oatmeal stout from brewdemon and it turned out amazing. I am getting ready to order a refill kit and was curious about the discount for BrewDemon?

Welcome aboard Modom! I'm glad your first batch turned out great, I took a little longer to get it right.
You can find the discount code and instructions in the Members Only Deals section of the forum. You might have to email BrewDemon if you already created an account.
Happy Brewing, keep us posted.

Hey y’all, I’m Alex and new to brewing, I received a BrewDemon kit and just bottled up my first batch today. Can’t wait to try it and keep on making my own beer. Hoping to actually get a knack for this, always a good time to make your own stuff.

you're right; there is a certain knack to it and like doing anything new ... there's a learning curve
stick with it and you'll do fine in no time ...

There's a sticky in the members only section that tells how to get it.
