Considering my opinion of Fat Bottom Brewery (I hate to rip on a Nashville brewery, but they are the bottom of the barrel, and that isn't really close), I wanted to make a joke that the quality of beer drank while watching the Titans was equivalent to the level of play, but damn if this isn't quite good. Color spot on, malt on the nose and tongue, good hop levels. I'm quite surprised. And with the not bad review of their IPA that I gave a few weeks ago, I'm wondering if they've turned a corner out there in East Nasty... Well worth my $1.35 for the can...

Between myself and other people here watching football, we pretty much wiped out my stock of the patersbier I brewed with morebeer pils, some wheat, styrian goldings and a bit of santium hops to finish, and 3787. It was delicious while it lasted. My house is actually warm again, so if I can get some WLP530 or 3787 I might just make some more.

Crappy pic of how it laces... pretty much every Belgian I've made this summer is like this, except for the ones that are extreme (egg whites - too crazy).

Went with my older brother and his wife to a British style pub and got a paddle of 4 beer samples with dinner: Fuller's ESB, Texian Brewing Co. 1824 Belgian Strong Ale, Goose Island Matilda Belgian Pale Ale, and Crazy Mountain Hookiebobb IPA. All were very good but the ESB and the Belgian Strong Ale were definitely my favorites.

Drew another pint to see how the carbing was coming along.... purely scientific! Seems like every few days the pours get better and better with more head and lacing.

Tried a Long Hammer IPA from Red Hook last night. They had a few singles at the liquor store in a cooler listed at $1.25/each so I grabbed one of these. Meh. While I don't like rip-your-face-off-bitter this was really weak.
I found the body lacking, no aroma and just a 'blah' flavor. I've wanted to try one for a while and am glad I didn't buy more.

I just had a Game Changer Pale Ale from Red Hook with dinner. I thought the same thing Ron. Just kind of blah. Not much going on in that glass either.

Summit's Oktoberfest. One of the better American marzens I've had. The Germans got that game on lock though lol.

Drinking a Smooth Rye'd IPA; I am no longer able to post pictures here since I updated my phone to iOS 8.0. I'll update to 8.0.2 & try again. Anyone else having this issue?

I only have iphone for work and they told us not to download it because they are usually a nightmare at first roleout. thought apple was going to recall the update to fix it. you might be able to restore the last version but not sure how.

8.1 slowed my 4S down to a crawl but 8.2 seems better but, I've not tried anything with 8.1 on this forum so I can't say.I'd definitely update it though if you've already done 8.1.

Still lightly under carbed but it is pretty much there. It has been getting better and better with each glass. It has only been in the kegerator for 1 full week and my understanding is that it takes about 2 full weeks to carb while cold if it wasn't carbed already. Looking forward to getting another Keg of something in there soon.

I also got the thumbs up from the neighbors who tried it. Next beer will be the pumpkin beer but after that I think I may give my first go around on a pale ale. Never made one yet, except the original Mr. Beer extract one I made back on 12/31/2009.
