Beer-lord wrote:Well, did 2 beers in one day which I've never done before (except when I do 10 gallon batches). 6 gallons of Righteous RyePA and 6 gallons of Ready for Preseason Pale. Both a bit different from my normal rye and pales. Expectation is high.
I think I lost 20 lbs in water from sweating today and Advil is on the menu for tonite!

I only did that once, two years ago for my daughter's wedding, and it was a LONG day!
I admire you for even attempting that lord and I hope they meet your expectations!

Just kegged 5 gallons of Welcome Back Porter.
Sacrificed about six bottles worth to the beer gods because I was just too damned
tired and lazy to break out the bottling equipment!

SWMBO loves me because this is her favorite all time homebrew!

Brewing my first batch in nearly 3 months. Summer has been very busy with a lot going on in my medical group (running that is my day job). Also my wife's father passed away 2 weeks ago after a fairly short illness. He went from chopping wood and climbing trees to dead in 4 weeks, but at 87 those things happen. I am looking forward to more brewing. Today is an Irish Red based on the Brew Demon red ale with additions of DME, steeped grains and lots of hops. Strangely enough my last two batches with this recipe ended up being way overcarbed with many geyser bottles. They were brewed several months apart and neither tasted infected. Anyway I am leaving out the brown sugar I had used in the prior batches just in case I had too many fermentables for the yeast. Will see what happens.

I got my "American Rye" bottled yesterday. My first 5 gallon batch in quite a while.
I grabbed a nice 3/4 glass sample. Of course room temp, uncarbed. Seems to be nothing wrong with it which is always nice. There is a noticeable spiciness from the rye. Should be nice when it's carbed and chilled.
As it turns out there is a family gathering that was planned after I had brewed this batch so I may be taking some to that.

I bottled my "Oak Smoked Strong Golden Ale with Cherry and Wheat" - which got enhanced with the Brett C strain that lives in my house. Luckily I like it and embrace the funk.

And it tastes great.

I kegged 2 beers today. The Ready for Preseason Pale and the Righteous RyePA. Both tasted fine going into the keg. Will know for sure in a week or so.

Today I will be bottling a small batch of Robust Porter. I'll also be bottling a few from a batch of Chocolate Porter that I will be kegging. Later I'll set myself up to brew in the morning and that will be an IPA (A Lagunitas IPA clone).

No Way Kenny! I'm brewing again tomorrow and I'm also brewing lagunitas IPA clone I found on BYO. :fedora: I wanted to Brew it today but had to wait on horizon hops I ordered online. Thinking about it I need to check the mail. I may or may not brew it tomorrow.

I bottled a Midwest Supplies Simply Beer-American Wheat 5G Extract recipe, in 12oz and 1 Liter bottles, also added a small bottle of cherry extract to it the day before bottling. The wife thought it smelled good so we'll see. Afterwards I brewed a MS Simply Beer-Cream Ale 5G Extract recipe and split it between 2 of my BrewDemon LBC's.

Thats pretty cool Ray, brewers coincidence! :clink:

Here is the thread I started about it. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5895 That is the recipe from a Brewing Network podcast with the brew master. Mine will be a half batch and I have some tweaks in mind. I'll be using Columbus for the bittering since I already had some and adding extra hops at flameout and for the dry hop. I would like to see what you will be brewing.
