I just popped open a one litre bottle of HCCD / TBM Dutch ? Booster & etc...brewed on June 11, 2012 that came in over 6% ABV and it has mellowed to a real nice, sweet KICK-ASS brew that goes down very smooth, not much head or carb but the kick-in-the-ass finish once it gets beyond the tongue and the brain says "Whoa Nellie, that's a strong'un"
I am pleasantly pleased with this nice surprise in my brew fridge, last one of its kind. Kinda like a sipping beer from here on out 'til the bottom of the bottle.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
Having some of the Mr. Beer Czech Pilsner I bottled Feb. 1st. 7 months of carb/conditioning has made it much better than after the first month or 2. Still have 3-1L bottles of it.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.
I had friends and family over today for dinner and we watched the Rangers loose The highlight was the Brick Warmer Red ale. It tasted great and everyone was comparing it to a Shinner BocK. The beer style of this beer is an American Amber Ale but it does taste allot like Shinner.
An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools.
Guests we had over for dinner brought me a sixer of 1554 Enlightened Black Ale and the wifey a sixer of Boulevard Single Wide IPA. They know our tastes real well.
Saving the Diablo and Pilothouse stash for a later date.
Maybe Monday!
