Good stuff. I've not used NS for bittering, I've always saved it for flavor and aroma. I find Magnum to be pretty neutral so that ist my go-to.
Style: American Pale Ale
TYPE: All Grain
Batch Size (fermenter): 3.00 gal
Estimated OG: 1.051 SG
Estimated Color: 8.1 SRM
Estimated IBU: 39.3 IBUs
Boil Time: 60 Minutes
Ingredients:
------------
Amt Name Type # %/IBU
4 lbs 8.0 oz Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 85.7 %
8.0 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 2 9.5 %
4.0 oz Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 3 4.8 %
0.33 oz Magnum [14.90 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 4 28.9 IBUs
0.25 oz Nelson Sauvin [11.70 %] - Boil 20.0 min Hop 5 10.4 IBUs
0.50 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 mins) Fining 6 -

I just did my first hopstand a few weeks ago with some WCPA and simoce+amarillo. Loved the results. I'm sure yours is going to be great.

I broke a long dry spell yesterday. Bottled up a batch of an experimental Raspberry Pilsner. Then brewed up a batch of Wheat beer. Felt good to get busy again.

I will post the revised recipe after I take a taste while bottling.

I will be brewing a 5 gal all grain EBIAB in the morning. My receipt will be a clone Fat Tire. I have allot of ice ready for the pre chiller to get the tap water temp down for the plate chiller. It is difficult to get the wort temp to 68-70 when the ground water temp is 80 degrees.
It will be a hot day in Texas but I am really looking forward to it.

Just got the grain in the mash for today's Stone Levitation. Brewing 2 weeks in a row as I have to get stock for football season. I'll wait 2 weeks then brew again.
With all theb higher ABV beers I've made and Pliny due soon, I had to make a session beer to drink for the games.

It's done....4 hours exactly (well, I'll need 30 minutes to clean up). This was for a 75 minute mash and 90 minute boil so that's pretty damn good.
I overshot my OG by 5 but I almost always do that it seems. 6 more gallons in the pipeline.

I have a modified Mr. B White IPA in the LBK...modified in that I added 1.4 lbs of Pilsen Light LME and 1/3 oz of Saaz hops commando-style. Giving it 4 weeks in the LBK (three in the basement at 64 deg F and 3 days cold crash) before bottling this weekend (if all works out). I'm thinking this one will be ready for tasting at the end of September just as the weather starts to change here in VA!

A four gallon biab Centennial Blonde. It went pretty well. Now it is in two 12qt pots in a cooler in the basement.
Four gallons because my big pot is 5. Well, there's a bigger one, but it's full of bottles soaking off labels right now. Plus, I'm not sure that even "Speed Heat" on our fancy new stove would boil the 6.5 gallons.
