Brewed it up tonight. OG came out at .42 it smelled pretty darn good. I keep debating on that conical fermenter but I think I am going to get a 6 gallon carboy next.

Got my conical and new HMEs this morning. The dog like to scared the delivery guy to death, told him he's a smooch monster... LOL Now to figure out what to make!

LOL, after responding to a message in another thread about keeping lbks clean/sanitized, I looked at two of mine that had my summer brett infections that I bleach bombed and oxi-cleaned twice now... and they are just nasty, the "reverse yeast polarity" thing happened and they are just caked with a film of yeast/brett by product that I can't get off without resorting to scraping at it - which is not good - I've tried both bleach and oxyclean.

So instead of buying PBW, I decided to replace them with a couple of the conicals, since I'm committed to small batch brewing and if I went with a 3 gallon better bottle I'd put a spigot in it too. And these seem a lot less painful to hook up the spigot then a better bottle would be, they need some special tool to get in there.
