I'm not that old, but I've been around long enough to realize that kids don't realize they're being disrespectful. We always think "kids these days" are more disrespectful than our parents were when they were kids. However, none of saw our parents when they were kids, did we?

I cracked up when I heard my 23 year old cousin complaining about "kids these days" when discussing his 18 yr old brother and his friends. Dude, you were like that 5 years ago before you went in the marines. 'No, I wasn't', to which his dad said, " you're right, you were much worse".

Try not to laugh when she says "I was more respectful to my parents" when she has kids of her own.

I'm of the era where if I did disrespect my parents, it was just easier to make my replacement than to place an old photo of me on a milk carton...er, milk BOTTLE.
