Oh woops. My bad. I didn't see that it wasn't you that had the STC in F instead of C. That fermostat looks awesome!
Phil, this is where gwcr got his Fahrenheit STC. I lucked up and scored one of The Black Boxes, love this thing. Being able to set programs to run is just great. I think I'm going to order one of his flashed units to replace one of my Celsius builds that I've done.philm00x wrote:Congrats on the ferm chamber, Paul! And also, when did the STC-1000s start coming in Fahrenheit scale?! It would be so much easier for me to use that instead of my model that is in Celsius (which forces me to do math).
Or you could printout a one page list of temps and tape it to the frig....philm00x wrote:Congrats on the ferm chamber, Paul! And also, when did the STC-1000s start coming in Fahrenheit scale?! The STC-1000 (certain models) can be flashed to upgrade the embedded software. One of the guys on HBT has a thread on it. Calling it the STC-1000+. Another is using those flashed units to make "The Black Box" for those who don't want to DIY at http://www.blackboxbrew.com/. He is currently sold out of the full solution, but also sells the flashed units by themselves. I picked one of those up and DIY'd the box. Pretty cool little unit, as you can program fermentation schedules into it by using the front buttons. So far I am just using a set temp, but will be fun to program a lager schedule into it, then start it and let it do its thing.philm00x wrote:Congrats on the ferm chamber, Paul!
