Re: Competition results
Congrats again! Re your observation that the highest points don't necessarily win BOS, the judges try to use an objective scale and rank the beers within a round, but different judges will end up higher or lower than others. Then the winners of each round go into a BOS round, with the most experienced judges.
Re: Competition results
Just heard back from the brewery - the fundraiser we're brewing the beer for is not till April, so it looks like we will be brewing sometime in the new year. I just have to be patient!

That's gonna feel like a lifetime. So, I guess you won't brew anything else until then huh?

Re: Competition results
Could you please look into how I could get one. I would be happy to contribute to a good cause and have one of your beer. I'll even pay for shipping.russki wrote:Just heard back from the brewery - the fundraiser we're brewing the beer for is not till April, so it looks like we will be brewing sometime in the new year. Re: Competition results
Just reading this thread now. I think it would be really cool to have my beer on tap in a local place - and with the proceeds going to charity, that's a huge bonus.
Congrats!

Re: Competition results
Just heard from the second competition I had entered. Alas, no BOS this time. However, my Baltic Porter took 2nd place in Porters category with 39 points. Curious to see the score sheets!
