Yes, that would have been me and my C-64 with the brown plastic user port plug in 300 baud modem...

Took quite a while before I was able to upgrade to the blisteringly fast 1200 baud modem!

Still, Zelda loaded faster than the modem connected!

LOL... I had a pair of 1541's... I think I loaded from tape like... Once.

Trying to remember, wasn't the tape device 4, or 1?... Maybe not... Too long ago...

Edit: Yes, tape was device 1 and you could just type load and hit enter and play the tape...

Yokes!

I never really figured out how to do much with a VIC20 I had. I could play Space Invaders on it.
The first personal computer I was able to actually use was WebTV. (Which is not really a personal computer)

Regarding l33+,

I saw an article on Newsy today where it appears that Google revealed how much they paid to get their domain name back...

It seems that it somehow went up for sale and was purchased last year by a guy named Sammy Ved for $12.

Apparently he owned it for like a minute before Google tried to buy it back from him...

Their offer, because it kinda looks like the spelling of Google was: $6006.13

Kind of 133+-@93 (leet-age) like huh?

The article goes on to say that once Google determined that the man was going to use the money for charity, they doubled the offer to $12,012.26.

Maybe there's money in watching for popular domain names to turn up for sale! :uwish:
