Man that looks good to me,
Love it spicy
Do they have a less spicy version?
THAT woman has to eat chicken damn near evry day or she will lay an egg
But she don't like spicy

I'm not a 'hot' person if the food is so hot, you can't taste anything but heat but I do liked nicely, seasoned food. I'm up for almost anything and will bring some heartburn pills. :)

As long as it's 'seasoned' and not 100% cayenne, I'm good. If not, I'll have to follow it with a nice serving of ice cream so that I don't pay for it the next day, know what I mean?

But I say, when in Nashville......................

Hot chicken, too? Damn, the hits keep on coming. I tease out of pure jealousy guys. You're going to have a blast and never want to leave. Except maybe to detox.

They all have "original" (i.e., normal fried chicken) in addition to the spiced options. For the full experience, we could venture to a rough part of Nashville and hit a traditional shack (like Prince's, which is the original and most famous), though I normally go for Hattie B's, which is the sanitized version (modern counter-service place right in Midtown, with craft beer taps) but is still pretty darn good. Their options run from Southern, Mild, Medium, Hot, Damn Hot, and Shut the Cluck Up. I normally get Shut the Cluck Up, but I will point out that any of the super-hot options can lead to, umm, after-glow. If I'm planning to be out and about, I usually cap out at Damn Hot, just in case.

Ms. Prince describes things best here... This is a great little short documentary...

Here's a vid from Hattie's:

Bolton's is one of my favorites... I love that you enter the screen door to the seating area, and find a pink door with door knocker awaiting you when you are ready to place the order...

Wait a damned minute now. Hold the friggin phone.........are you telling me, saying, explaining and all that stuff that I can get fried chicken AND CRAFT BEER (plural) in one location?

Shut the front door. I'm at the airport now. I will likely gain more weight in 4 days and have less guilt than ever imagined.

You guys are going to ruin me. And Ron, I'm still counting on you to show up before the first tour. :urock:

I'll also point out my favorite quote from Bill Purcell, former mayor of Nashville, and also a hot chicken fanatic:
"This is a HOT chicken shack and at a HOT chicken shack one should eat HOT chicken. If you prefer mild or medium chicken, then you should find such a shack." -- former Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell on ordering at Prince's Hot Chicken Shack

Well, I guess I'll be at the medium shack while y'all go to the Hot shack. I'd try a bite of Shut the Cluck up, but I'm not making a meal of it.

That's me too, I can handle medium heat. I'm sure I've seen one or more of those Chicken joints on either the Travel Channel or Discovery best of type shows.

I believe that the morning after you all go there you may have to tip the cleaning staff extra for bathroom duty.

Burns going in and ...

Looks like we're all chicken to eat hot chicken. I'd love to go and try a bite too but I'll stick for the milder stuff. I guess the workers can just laugh at us for being spicy failures. Or, just too old to digest anything other than Geritol.
