Was a good beer day yesterday... finally got some ingredients to brew (yeah! maybe I'll have some bottles to send out to people finally), and hit the new Mantra Artisan Ales. Fortunately this place is within 1.5 miles of my house, so I will likely visit often. Fantastic beer lineup for their opening, and they will be bottling in the new year...
Also made it to Yazoo to try out Sennespiration, a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old oak aged golden sours. Fantastic...

I'm drinking a blend of my Hippity Hoppity (very soon to be disappeared) and the almost ready Pleasant Pale-ity. If you've never blended some of your beers, though not all blend well, you should give it a try. It takes each beer to another level! Drink a bit of each separately, then mix them 50/50 or whatever combo of your liking and see what it does.
Delish!

Sitting here sipping a Honey Brown Ale from my LHBS brewed about a year ago. Dark Brown, mid heavy malt w/ simi-dry flavor. almost gone getting ready to head to the fridge to see what else I got.

Had a neighbor over last night, found out he is a homebrewer for like 20+ years. Still does extract, like me. He brought a Porter made in the style of colonial days, uses molasses. It was good, although carb was a little low, which he said before I opened it. He tried my Michigan Red and No Lightfoot Porter, seemed to like those. He was impressed with the selection I offered.

That Cascade is fantastic. Everything they produce is quite stellar, imho. (nice glass, btw...)
Guest homebrew night tonight... Posts coming soon.

First up... Steve's "Mather Steamship Cali-Common"
Pours a clear tan with white head that settles to a lingering ring. Nice malty notes on the nose and the tongue. Very clean. Just the right bitterness for the style.

Next up... Inky's petit saison. Super clear straw color. Slight banana and pepper notes. Spot on saison.

Tonight it's some Coke and Wiskey sitting in my recliner on a cold night with snow on the ground outside. Haven't had a taste for beer lately.
I guess I'm more of a weekend warrior when I do drink. I like Jack once in a while but today I picked up some Evan Williams Black. I wanted to have some around for Thanksgiving. It's so smooth, real tasty. I did grab a six pack of Fat Tire, for old times...that used to be a go to beer of mine. It's not quite the same as it once was but I might have one after this glass I'm sippin on.

I had some One Evil Pilsner last night. Like most of my beers it's gets better as it ages. My beer pipeline is getting dangerously low, though. With the recipes I got in Monday evening, I'll start on brewing those Friday and Saturday and get it started building back up. Then today I ordered more of the BrewDemon Ye Olde Devil Nut Brown Ale, with it being on-sale for 45% off, it's kinda hard to pass up. And then this morning, I get a email from Brooklyn Brew Shop with some sales on recipes and kits. Hmmmmnnn..
