Wit Beer Like Substance (now with Brett C). AKA "Big Hairy Eyeball Pellicle"
It is delicious, and a better beer then the Blood Orange single I made before it that didn't get my Brett C. The Blood Orange single is fine but would have been a lot better with Westmalle yeast then the SafeAle Abbaye. Its more phenolic then I would prefer. I like the Llalemand Abbaye better, it doesn't seem to be the same yeast. That or I just got a couple of packs of yeast that were messed up somehow (the other one was the beer I dumped).
This WIT beer I used Mangrove Jacks WIT yeast and it seems to be a winner from what I can tell that isn't from the Brett. It is appropriately tart for the style, nothing weird or off about it, there is a nice tart citrusy vibe to this beer.
Anyways, hairy eyeball pellicles are not necessarily a bad thing.

Homemade Dandelion wine I made last a year ago. Having problems fighting the fruit flys off in my basement, got to get rid of them before I start back up brewing beer.

HA HA good eye, that was a box full of beer glasses given to me by a friend that was drinking with me one night and I dropped a few of my beer glasses, so he gave me some of his and he put them in that box when he brought them here.BlackDuck wrote:What’s the Bud Light doing back there?

Dumped 2.5 gallons of a 5 gallon batch because of those little shits. Acetobacter is not good in beer.berryman wrote:Having problems fighting the fruit flys off in my basement, got to get rid of them before I start back up brewing beer.
I'm drinking the "session dubbel" that turned out to be a "real dubbel" due to 90% mash efficiency. At 4 weeks in the bottle. It's delicious. Pitch enough yeast and you can do that. Store it for 3 months, blah... pitch more yeast... just sayin.

Hi Sean! Definitely ranks as the most enthusiastic beer tour of the trip! Love his energy and the feel of the brewery.

Belgian Strong Golden Ale made in the Mash & Boil. In a totally inappropriate glass. Even so, it is yum, and it's purty too.
Re: What are you drinking?
WOW Mash, that looks very nice.................Pour that into a different glass and that would be one excellent looking beer and not saying it's not now already in that glass.mashani wrote:Belgian Strong Golden Ale made in the Mash & Boil.
