I made this Porter in November of 2016. Bottled in January 2017.
It has gotten progressively better since first tasting in March of 2017.
2 years in bottle now
I believe it is at its peak right now
Absolutely best Porter Ive ever made
And one of the best Ive ever tasted

If you have ever had it, how does that Lagunitas Daytime compare to Founders All Day IPA? I like the Founders but have never seen the Lagunitas stuff around here.

Oh and I'm drinking my cascade/nelson hoppy APA.

I would say similar. It's now lighter than it used to be, but the aroma and taste are great. It's a nice change of pace from heavy and hazy IPAs, that's for sure.

My Nelson/Mosaic Pale Ale.

First beer that I brewed in the M&B....and it came out just as good as always. I'm happy.

Yeah, the brew looks great. I'll be sampling my first Mash & Boil brew this weekend.

The "Red-X" IPA I made, which is actually more brown then red. It's also very hazy, I think from all the commando @flameout cryo hops more then anything. Every time I've used the cryo hops like that I've ended up with hazy beer. It is delicious though.

Dos Perros still drinking fine. Funny, 109 checkins on untappd for me on this, and tons more pre-untappd no doubt. Used to do Yazoo weekly at the original location, and still hit occasionally now. Gonna be rough when they open the new place (prob 45 min off my path), but still will try to make it out occasionally...

Hey, Swen, I think I have everything needed to brew a batch of Dos Perros based on your clone recipe posted way back.

Have you tweaked anything since then? IE is it worth tweaking it upwards to the 5%ish or whatever it is now from the 3.5% of your recipe? I'm perfectly fine with a nice 3.5% beer as you know, gravity for the sake of alcohol isn't something I care about, only if it really makes it "better".

I'm drinking my Red X IPA, which is tasting fine, even if it's not red.

I've just brewed it at the lower gravity. Considered just keeping same percentages and upping to 5.2ish, but it's good at the original IMHO. It's on my short list to brew again soon. Not sure which i will do...

I took Friday off and ended up at Alvarado Street Brewing for a late lunch and some samples.

The best beer was an Imperial Stout with cacao and vanilla...I brought a 4-pack home.

Sunday night I found a Milk Stout in the fridge that I wanted to try and it was great, too.

Dark beer....who knew? [emoji6]ImageImageImage
