Love it when I stumble into a $10/bomber Yazoo ETF fire sale at Brewhouse South... 9.9% abv Brettanomyces Golden Strong Ale with Passion Fruit aged in Jose Cuervo 100% Blue Agave Tradicional Resposado Tequila casks. So tasty...

Re: What are you drinking?
Had to do the side by side on the classic recipe (by way of Holland) and the new Lagunitas recipe (by way of California). Definitely more american hop character, as expected with Lag. A bit more body, darker, a bit less biscuity character. Old Newkie is a soft spot beer for me from way back in my Disney days. Can't imagine revisiting the Lag version much, but it's fine for what it is. Drinkable and inoffensive.
And halfway thru... blendz brah...

Re: What are you drinking?
Having a red, I sure like drawing a draft even with a picnic tap that I am using now.

Re: What are you drinking?
Only about two weeks left, so I thought I should drink these. It's just "good" for me at this point but it doesn't blow me away like it used it.

Well, with that said, I'll decide not to buy it. I was waiting for your comments.

Re: What are you drinking?
A friend from Wisconsin brought me one of these. Nice and easy to drink, and tasty.

The taps were flowing at our "Final Four/Preds clinch the division" party last night. No idea how much of the kolsch or brut IPA were drank, but they were both well received. Pregame pic...

Re: What are you drinking?
An early test bottle of "Something like Dos Perros" based on a Swenocha's recipe. Needs some time in the fridge to get the carb into solution better, but other then that it's great.
I have never had the real thing, but this is damn good stuff, so I'm sure the real thing is too.
I'm gonna make 6 gallons more of this soon me thinks since this was a small batch and I do believe I could drink this up too quickly as a post cycling recovery beverage.
EDIT: If you like Mexican Brown Lagers or German Altbiers at all, I highly suggest you make this. I made this with S-23 so it's more of a lager with slight fruitiness, but this would be excellent with a clean ale yeast too which is how the recipe actually is.
EDIT EDIT: This is one of the best beers I've made this year I think. It's yummy.

Re: What are you drinking?
Yes! I have this slated for sometime this spring as well. Wanting it to be on a summer tap along with a session saison...mashani wrote:An early test bottle of "Something like Dos Perros" based on a Swenocha's recipe.
