Might be time to hit up Total Wine again on payday and mix another sixer.

I had Old Rasputin at a local joint, hangin out w/ IBasterd, and that was a damn good beer. Slightly sweet, thick, chocolatey... A perfect finishing beer.

Today's catch

From L to R- Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Summit Oktoberfest, Ayinger Brauweisse hefeweizen, Widmer Okto, Florida Beer Co Conchtoberfest, and Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin pale wheat ale.
Still on the Oktoberfest kick but I was disappointed I didn't find more German examples than the Ayinger one, so I got American ones and Ayinger hefe instead. As for the Jai Alai and Little Sumpin', they're really damn good beers that I was craving.

Having a hard time finding seasonal beers that I haven't tried yet.

I was tempted to get the Shiner Oktoberfest but I didn't want a screw top bottle :( so instead I opted for the equally not-as-useful can of Jai Alai.

I had no idea Sprecher made beer as I've only seen their root beer. Go figure.

My latest pickup from ABC. I had the Stone coffee milk stout last night while watching a flick with the mrs. Maybe Stone's hoppy beers are their best ones because, while it was better than Guinness, I wasn't impressed with it. The roasted coffee flavor was not really there, but it was drinkable.

I'll have to look at my local Wegmans food store, the one near my old house used to offer mixer sixers I'm hoping this one does too.

I volunteered to buy the beer for the company Halloween party, and somehow I ended up with a mixer sixer in my fridge tonight

Image

From left to right:
Firestone Oaktoberfest: This was the best Octoberfest that I've had so far so I decided to bring some for others to try. Besides, it goes great with my costume (but that's fodder for another thread).
Drake's Alpha Session: Awesome session IPA from a local brewery. It's only 3.8% so great for an office party.
Ballast Point Pale Ale: I like everything I've had from them so far but never tried their pale. Now I have a chance.
Deschuetes Hop Trip: LOVE LOVE LOVE Fresh Squeezed so when I saw this I had to grab it. "...we hustle back and toss them {hops} into the brew kettles within four hours of picking. Our reward: a pale ale with a uniquely bright citrus punch and fall spice."
Rogue Dead Guy Ale: Because it's Halloween and this is a great beer.
Stone Levitation: Need I say more?

And this happened to be a sixer + 1:

Deschuetes Chasin Freshies Fresh Hopped IPA:
Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment thing. This year we've chased down the famed Mosaic hop from the amazing John I Haas growers. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year.

Malt: Pilsner Malt, Flaked Oats
Hops: Bravo, Fresh Mosaic

It's going to be fun digging into these!

My brother in law brought Chasin Freshies back from Portland long ago. I love most anything from Deschutes and I think that was my first time tasting a beer with Mosaic in it.
What a great sixer you pixed. :)

I barely read the description when I bought it. I saw Mosiac and grabbed the bottle.

I'm pretty excited, I'm just not sure if I'm this excited --> :hammer: or THIS excited -->
