You could do a lager in the LBK using the cooler/ice packs method. Once it gets cold enough in there, if you're diligent about changing out the ice packs, it'll stay at lager temps.
It's fussy, but it can be done. Obviously, having a dedicated lager fridge with a Johnson Controller is an easier way to go, though.
