like Beer-lordi haven't done many MrB brews (3) then left the reservation and they didn't care. i can't just drop it i was not there long last dec. but with my situation you gotta count that like "dog years". i owe the site so much as with out it no borg and i would not be this far along if i would've even kept brewing. the 3 i did were 1 cal and 2 cerveza(s) not the best and may have discouraged me on my own. i'm not gonna quit here but kinda gotta keep going back, give 'em a fair chance but it'll never be the same.

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

For whatever reasons they have, Mr Beer has now royally pissed me off. I posted a respectful open letter to Mr Beer about the issues with the new forum yesterday, and they didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge or answer it. Even if they fix it now I may not go back, especially since Louie has done such a GREAT job on this forum. I still use a lot of Mr B extracts as bases but my favorites were based on the old ones which I will order from Brew Demon now.

I think they are in 1 of 2 modes...

1. We have a new direction and don't care about the old.

2. Oh Shit... what did we just do?

I like this forum better as I feel we can discuss anything, but we have a quality host that won't put up with trolling and that kind of garbage.

Louie, Thank you. :guzzle:

I also wonder the same thing about the recent Mr Beer "upgrade". I am so tempted to think they're trying to run off all the AG brewers who have made a home there because they are not promoting the sales of Mr Beer extracts. That may or not be just crazy thinking, but I sure have to wonder. And I am very grateful to Louie for creating a place where we can all find a home for what we had before all this happened. We had a good thing going and I thought we lost it. :jumpy:

Joe and Beer-lord, I considered the same thing!
I went AG almost a year ago. In fact, I haven't bought a Mr B recipe in over a year!
I can't justify the price and flavor as compared to what I can do with just a little more effort.
Not to be bashing them, they got me into the obsession, and if I hadn't gotten started with them,
I may still be drinking...Bud Light! :?
It doesn't make sense what is going on there. But then again, I don't understand Australians! :laugh

I'm subscribing to this belief as well.
They could have easily removed the links to this forum, yet they left them up.
They even moved my one post to Forum Difficulties where it was more likely to get seen by fed up members.

Works for me! This place is uncensored and way easier on the eyes. The reason I was at Mr. B's forum for so long was the people, well they are all here now lol.

So, it's taken longer to fix an up and running forum (that was supposed to be better) than it does to repair a new one?
Really, what's taking so long?

I never even thought of that! Could we have been "redirected", accidentally on purpose? Oh well, I guess it's better than being asked to leave because we don't fit the demographics they desire. That would have been embarrassing.

If uncensored means we'll be seeing naked pictures of Borg members, I won't be here very long.. I mean - look at Joe Chianti's picture. Can you imagine what the rest of him looks like naked? :jumpy:

I'll have you know, my doctor told me I was in excellent physical condition for an 80 year old man. Although when he told me that I was 30.
