Sorry for the rants ya'll. I just get so upset thinking that the country I gave 20 years of my life too has turned into this, whatever it is now. I do love my country with every fiber of my being, but I do so hate the current so called government. We ARE in trouble as a nation. This keeps up, we won't last long. Like an old saying goes, you have to stand up for something, or you will fall for everything. Right now a lot of people are falling.

I have to admit, I never thought this would last until this weekend. Now that it has, I wonder how much longer it will be.
I also don't like the rhetoric coming out of all sides as if they can each beat on their chests and wait longer. It's getting mean.

Well at this point it seriously affects me. I was expecting to start receiving payments as the result of a lawsuit over back pay due to an illegal firing but my lawyers are now telling me that not only am I not going to get paid while the shutdown is going on but when they start back up apparently they can decide not to fund the budgets dedicated to settlements which means I won't get any more. It also means the meager assistance I was getting is gone which just royally screws me since I wasn't approved for state unemployment due to the fact that my company was not paying unemployment insurance and I was technically fired at the time. I am so angry at this moment these clowns are cutting off my lively hood as in I will literally not be able to feed myself by the end of the month yet they are financially so well off that they wouldn't be affected and they still get payed.
Now that said I will say I have some of the best friends in the world that have helped move me out of my apartment and into a family members house last weekend. I also have an awesome family that is now helping me through this.
I have some major plans that I am working on but they won't start paying off until this summer so everything should turn around.

Really sorry to hear this duff! Thank goodness you have family and friends u can depend on. Got my fingers crossed on your plans, I hope it does you well.
This just goes to show that a lot of people are getting hurt over this childish behavior of the politicians. I'm not going to start ranting again, I think everyone knows how I feel about the morons we call politicians, er, self centered crooks.

duff, this is some tough stuff to read. I'm going to stay positive and send some good vibes your way that things change for the better and fast. And, I'll add my prayers to boot!
