My just kegged (2 days ago) Ode of Dank. A few 'first time' on this one. It's a semi NEIPA. One with low bitterness (but lots of hops) and without the orange juice look and feel. First time using Idaho Gem and Sabro LupoMax hops and some Simpsons Naked Oats AND Lallemand Verdant IPA yeast. I'll use this yeast again for sure. Also used 3 different malts, 1 pilsner and 2 pale malt. Other hops include, Citra, El Dorado and Cashmere. The Cashmere shows it's tropical coconut when it warms up. Ice cold you don't get much flavor at all.
Really tasty and it's still green. Still not getting the aroma I want but it smells like a fruit salad! I'm pleased as punch!

I love Simpsons Golden Naked Oats. They are nice in all sorts of English beers too.

My temps are currently a bit low for Verdant IPA, but I will be trying it in the spring for sure. (I could heat my fermenter, but I tend to brew with cool weather ale strains and lager strains this time of year).

So many good damn beers it's hard to keep track of them...

I consumed one of the Gratzers I made. And damn, its the best one I've made yet, and all of them have been really damn good.

The Polish Lubelski hops I think are the thing - The magnolia and lavender from it against the sweet smoke flavor is just amazing.

I think I love those hops, and might use them in some Belgians in the summer.

Bell's Hopslam only 13 days from bottling. A thing of delicious beauty, balance and aroma. 10% that feels like 6% and its everything and more.

I popped open one of the kit can "Coopers Lagers" that came with a new fermenter, which I finished with Lubiski hops to cover up the Pride of Ringwood because I wasn't just gonna toss "free beer".

It is actually quite good for what it is, surprisingly so, and it is as light colored as BMC. I think because 2.5# of the fermentable sugars were basically coopers version of "booster" (corn sugar and maltodextrin) so the canned extracts extra darkness was diluted and I think I got a pretty fresh can as well. I can't taste anything off from that adjunct, it is just like an American corn adjunct lager, except with extra floral hops (magnolia and lavender) punching up the nose.

I would actually make an AG version of this with flaked corn one day.

For sure, but its pretty well hidden here due to the flavor/aroma from the Lubiski hops. I only am getting a slight "woody" vibe. It probably also helps that I brewed it as a 6 gallon batch so it's diluted a bit more. I think this particular extract being not very bitter to begin with also helps, since less was used in it's manufacture.

First pour of a Citra APA . Only 6 days in the keg and always gets better with 14 but like always can’t wait and was almost out of beer again.

A Dunkelweizen. Yes not very clear but 60% wheat. I like it.


Not sure if the right color either as I have never had a boughten one, I like though.
