The thing that keeps me from moooovin souf, is people. WAY TOOOOOO many ppl that direction. When, during that rare few weeks a year I can ride my baby, I can ride for hours without stopping and I see very few people. Nuttin wrong with *most* ppl, until they get in their cage and drive like there are no motorbikes on the road. I've been hit one too many times by these.... ppl. IF/when we do move again, south, it will be to Aridzona or New Mexico, sure miss living there. Maybe Jim better get a room ready for an extended stay guest.... hehehehe

I was planning to bottle a MB Winter Dark with hazelnut tonight, but I've got a nasty cold this week -- first one in a couple of years. Didn't want my brew to "catch a cold" so I'm shooting for Friday night instead.

I know a lot of you don't like using glass carboys and I said I wouldn't use them anymore after the breakage I had with them. But I guess I'm going to buy a new 6.5, I really miss that one, was my favorite for a five gal. batch primary. I have a bucket and one more 5 gal. that I can use as a secondary, but I like watching the action as it happens, and that is something I like. There are so nice to clean with no worries, but are heavy and very breakable.

I screwed up Friday night, it started when the wife said maybe we should go to our local firemans turkey party. Free beer on tap, well it was bud lite and I know what that does to me (sick), but it was free and I drank a lot of it while talking to everyone. After it was over we walked over to the local hotel and 2 captains and coke, then I seen all the good beer on tap, had to drink some more beer. Stella, and Southern Tier, had to try a few of those. Wife was driving and not drinking so no problem there, but I missed the opening day deer hunt Sat. Morning. Could not get out of bed. Dam Bud Light.

We've shot alot of does on opening day but the bucks r a little smarter. One shot in the state and they all go underground and make us work hard.

Around here the big bucks head for the swamp and hid out there until the season is over. Today I had a little deer walk right up to me, I could have almost touched it, and I didn't move to spook it and it just walked away. I was thinking to myself you got a lot to learn little deer, because there are some out there that would start blasting.

I confirmed something tonight that I suspected to be true.........

Hooters Wings and "Enjoy By" make a really good pair.

The bad side to my experiment is that I finished my last bottle of "Enjoy By" :(

But I reckon it was well worth it.

Have you tried Better Bottle? http://www.better-bottle.com

I'm looking at moving up to steeping grains soon and the guy at the LHBS suggested the better bottle. He said they'll last through my steeping grain stage and well into my all grain stage.
