"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Oh Oh no, I sliced all four fingers on my right hand open today at work and got 8 stitches, this better not screw up my brewing plans. It's already screwed up my beer drinking because I have to take antibiotics now for it :( .

"How low's the thermometer, Mama?"

"One bellow and falling."

Ba-da-ba-bump-bump-bump.

We're lookin' at a potential for double digit negative temps this week-end. Just in time for the muzzle-loader deer season.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Yesterday afternoon, SWMBO, the bhoy-o, and I went to the mall in a Crimmit shopping blitzkrieg. We did pretty well, completing gifts for most of the families we have to ship to. And the mall wasn't that crazy or annoying, either, so bonus on that. After all of yesterday's running around (I also did a run to the LHBS yesterday morning), I don't feel like doing anything today, but that Crown Top Pale Ale ain't gonna brew itself.

Just saw this post bm and you know I'm sympathizing with you since I've a clipped wing as well. I'm glad to hear you retained all your digits and it was just stitches though.

Hope you get back on track soonest and without complications.

We are having fun with the temps.
At this writing, 9:33pm Pacific time, it's 17*F out there. Sweet. um, wait.. the water lines under the house here must not be insulated enough. We're having water flow issues.
Had to play with the pump house this morning. Pump froze up. then a line froze, popped, and said good by to all y'all. Simple fix. got the parts at Home De Potty.
so, I've managed to dribble water into the old water jugs I had (from brewing) and heated up some, did dishes, filled the potty tank for doing business, and just having fun using my ARMY TRAINING. the land lord will be bringing a line heater over tomorrow.

I love the internet, after all these years of being told no alcohol when taking antibiotics, I've done a lot of research and found this not to be 100% true. Yes there are some antibiotics out there that if you drink while taking them, you will end up with a super bad hangover. As far as cutting down on the effectiveness of the antibiotic while drinking some, that is false. I should have known that a long time ago because I did it when I was told not to but it still worked. My fingers are healing just fine and I am still drinking the same amount of beer I do every night. Myth busted.

now if the same could only be said about Lyrica :( :( :(

So how did you slice your hand open?? Inquiring (--read nosy) brewer would like to know. I just read the post about hurting yourself at work
im Leben Geduld ist eine Tugend
in Brau-es ist eine Anforderung

in life patience is a virtue
in brewing it is a requirement
