Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Thanks Jim - It all started one day while I was brewing an IPA & Apocalypto the movie was on TV. Therefore the first Apocalypto IPA was born. Now it's one of my regulars.

Excellent! I see our plan to take over the world is proceeding apace. Don't let on to the proletariat, though. They must be kept blissfully ignorant until it's too late, and we've established our dominance. They'll prove to be compliant enough, mark my words.gwcr wrote:Just finished up a 5'er of my Irish Red. Had 3 friends over to watch my AG process. One just started with a Brewers Best kit last week, one has been doing MB for a few years and just did a Brooklyn Brewing kit, and the other we are trying to get sucked into the obsession. Everything went great, and we may get a few more Borg assimilites out of the day...

Brewed my annual President's Day beer, have been doing this since I started brewing and some years have done 2 and 3 different brews, but that was when using MB and was a lot faster. I don't even test one until the 4th of July, that's when I break them out. This year is a "Washington Presidential Porter" which is basically a spiced up Porter with 04 yeast, kinda' like a winter Holiday beer.
Perfect brewday today, everything right on schedule, from the OG to the exact pitching temp I was aiming for.

Bottling a fiver of FedoraDave's American Ale this morning, then it's off to the LHBS in the afternoon to get ingredients for a fiver of Kingpin IPA, which I'll brew tomorrow.

I have forgotten to list that I've brewed 5 gallons of a Sour using WYeast 665 and 5 gallons using
ECY 20 BugCounty. These 2 beers won't be ready to bottle for at least a year.

Placed a big order with labelpeelers.com, see Steals and Deals big sale, enough for 20 gallons, except grains. Haven't received yet so it looks like next weekend to brew. Gives me more time to decide what's next!
