All I have to say is, this chicken is proud it died and wound up in my oven tonight.

DAMN! that was a good dinner! Roasted redskin 'taters and fresh steamed broccoli rounded out a really fine meal.

SWMBO/LOML handles ALL the Christmas shopping -- including for herself. Gotta like that!

I have to snowblow the driveway, though. :freeze:

I bought a Darkstar burner recently, and used it for the first time this past Saturday. I've been an electric stovetop brewer since day one. I was very happy with the burner. Nothing like brewing in the great outdoors, during a picturesque New England snowfall. If only I had thought to take a picture! And the time saved was impressive. Water heated up in no time flat, even with the ambient temps in the teens. (Needless to say, chilling was a snap that day, too.)

The wife and son went out to play in the snow.
The wife asks me why I didn't come out to get hit with snow balls.
I asked her if she actually listened to what she just said.
She looks at me and says.. "oh".
That's my life people... always entertained.

Had the first round of Christmas celebrations yesterday with the in-laws. Got a vinator bottle rinsher, a bottle tree and a bench capper. My bottling time has just gotten shorter!!!!

A month or so ago, my friends, whose house we visit every Sunday for football, were talking to me about bottling. I said, I'm pretty much done with bottling, as I have 3 5gal kegs now.
Turns out, they had just placed an order for customized caps and labels. They look pretty nice, guess my bottling days aren't completely over.

My idea now is to brew 5 1/2 gals or so and bottle a couple using the labels...

If I was doing all bottles again, for sure I'd get a rinser...

Just got my first issue of BYO magazine that I won from one of the contests here, and I got to say I should have been getting this Mag. right along, a lot of good info in there. I've been under the impression the past few years that you could get everything you wanted on the 'net, I forgot how nice it is to look though a magazine, I always use to be a magazine person.
Thanks Louie for the contest and the prizes.

You could turn them into fridge magnets. I hear those are a hit also. :)

Ha Ha... I broke the counter at MB.
It wouldn't do the 20,000... wouldn't post the one after, and is now stuck at 20001 when I have 20003. I think it's funny. I don't care who you are.
