After enjoying this beer for weeks now I thought I'd share a picture of what may soon become the last glass.
Winter RCE - RedX IPA I try to learn something new whenever brewing a new recipe that I like. BigPapaG and I put together a great recipe to showcase what RedX Malt contributed to a beer. The fiery red color is unmistakably RedX but we also used a combination of Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra and Cascade hops and that was a first for me too. This beer has a lot of aroma that you can smell before each sip, its enough to let you know that you are drinking an IPA. The alcohol is low too, which is an added bonus for me during the week when I avoid high alcohol beers.
Actual OG=1.044, IBU=24, SRM=3, FG=1.014, ABV= 4.3% BU:GU = 0.445
When compared to the big brewery low calorie low alcohol beer offerings this RedX IPA is genuinely craft beer and definitely flavorful.

That is a great pour of what looks like a great beer! I hope mine looks half as good. My hops are way different and it concerns me but it seems like you guys have created a great, sessionable brew for the warm, summer months.

I'd say just wait it out and chance are you'll have a great tasting beer. Everyone that brews a new recipe deserves to feel a little bit anxious as to how it will turn out. It's also good to brew out of one's comfort zone, that's how our favorite recipes are created.Beer-lord wrote:That is a great pour of what looks like a great beer! I hope mine looks half as good.
