Busy weekend here! Got some tiling done. The floor was a B! Still some fixing to be done there but I’m really happy how the wall is coming along. One more weekend should have the floor in place and hopefully grouted! Than comes mounting the vent hood than brew day baby! May be done by the end of April.
I have a new found respect for tile workers. That is some tough manual labor!!!

Wife got home from her 3 weeks away which means other things take priority. With that said I was able to grout the large wall! Looking good!

Wow. Awesome job! Tile is the way to go in the brewroom. Do you have any brewing gear picked out yet?

Hey Screwy! All the photos of the gear is located on the first page. I found an amazing deal of a 15 gallon 50a eHerms set up on HBN classifieds. Can’t wait to use it. Every day brings me a little closer.

I feel like every step forward I take comes with an A-Z subcategory!!
Got the condensate hood pseudo mounted today. It’s technically hanging from the ceiling but we couldn’t find the right size elbow today so the plumbing is on hold till next week. That is subcategory A.
B. Couldn’t mount the hood on the joist to the right because it would have covered the damn light. Hood is 3’ deep. Had it need 2 I would have been fine.
C. Because I had to center it it completely covers my 220 outlet. Depending on how big the 90 degree elbow is I will be able to raise the hood. If I can raise it 5-6” I’ll be good. Otherwise I will have to go with option D or E.
D. The plug is only about 1”-1.5” deep so I can bump the hood out from the wall and the outlet can stay there.
E. I can cut the wiring for the 220 and move the outlet to the wall on the left. Was really hoping to use that wall for accessories but stuff just never goes as planned!!
F. Had to pull up some floor tiles as they came loose. It was dominoes. 3 led to 6. Good news is I got 5 down over the weekend. Left 1 up because it is a part of the floor drain and I need to cut those out a little further.
I guess the good news is that I am that much closer to brew day!!
Hoping to get the rest of the floor cleaned up and down this weekend and the parts for the hood to put it next week. Than just some finished carpentry. Feel like each month I keep saying.... end of this month I’ll be done. Dear god let May be it!!!

Looking good.
I'll add one thing to keep in the back of your mind...if you do decide to bump out the hood so you can use the outlet without moving it, remember that a 220 electric cord is very thick and hard to bend into a good 90 degree angle. Just make sure you give yourself enough clearance not only for the plug itself, but also a few more inches for the cord. They just don't bend like the smaller cords do.

Hood is mounted! Unfortunately he did a shit job with the duct work so need to fix/finish that. Then Need to clean up the floor, fix the floor drain tiles, grout, install the base, install sink, set up equipment, mount control panel and brew beer!
This project will never end!!

Wife left for a few weeks. Finally have some time to finish the project! Grouted the floor today. I’ve learned a valuable lesson that it’s well worth the money to pay someone to lay tile.
Tomorrow is baseboard, sink, and control panel! Might be able to get a wet test in this coming week!
