I have to use two avian avatars (even though BB2 finally got his own) because this is the "Brewbirds: Sibling Brewers" Com Center and though BB2 probably has no clue what I post most of the time he probably would not be pleased to see one of the avian representations in the avatar as a newly fledged chick ( he's the eldest after all)

I know RB will be showing THIS post to his SWIMBO and ask for my e-mail address.

Don't feel like your the only bird fan on here BB your not alone. Whilst I never chased the wild birds much, at one time I had over 200 pairs of exotic birds. I was at one time one of the largest pet bird breeders in the upper midwest. I've raised mccaws, amazons, toos, caigues, all sorts of birds. My latest birds I bred/raised was the rare colored finches. All I have left now is some black breasted/black faced fawn and gray finches and one very boisterous, LOUD cockatiel. Well, I do have a chicken breed, if u believe they are classified as birds. I will tell you, having over 500 individual birds to feed/clean/care for was one lesson in... well.... poop... LOL. It's a young persons job, an old phart like me just could not keep up with it, even with the employees I had.

Way Awesome FIT I used to raise birds too many years ago. We had a club like the home brewers do, I had Sun Conures, Lovebirds, Cockatiels and some parrots; mostly given up pets/rescue types that I would spend hours with. I built them big, huge cages out of PVC pipe so they weren't cramped up and had a special room so I could let them come out and fly around and play and get showers. Some were very tame and friendly right off but some had been way stressed and needed special attention like rescue dogs.

My family was mildly annoyed ( by the noise) but also very supportive and they even tended to pick favorites based on the birds' personalities.

How about this one. Ya know, just because we're mostly guys.
