Hoping to get back to the brew store on friday to get the yeast I really wanted, WLP002. Seems he never has the yeast. I usually go in on wednesday or thursday and his yeast shipments come in on Fridays.

Was planning on using the new fast fermenter conical for this but I don't think I will have it cleaned up and wall mounted/tested before this batch so chances are it is going in to a glass carboy and than transferred to secondary a week later for the spices. Probably best not to test the conical out on a batch this full of sediment anyways.

Pumpkin Beer Fermenting Happily. After 24 hours it had about 2" of Krausen. I was worried of an issue but it has settled in nicely. About a bubble a second through the blow off tube.

Hah!!! I told the guys at work that when I find out the sex of the baby I was either gonna have to buy a baseball and mitt, or a shotgun and a shovel.

Thanks guys!

This piece of sage advice was bestowed upon me when I had my daughter and I'll do my part to pass it along:

"When you have a boy, you have a penis to worry about. When you have a girl you have ALL THE PENISES to worry about!"

Congrats!

Paul Anka had five daughters. I once heard a story that when he was asked what if he ever worried about going out on tour and leaving all his daughters alone at home he replied no, I just know that if I come home in the toilet seats up somebody's in trouble! :-D
