This will be the first time I've had one post-date so I'm curious to see just how much the hops fade. I do like the fact that 12oz bottles are available now.
I'm really anxious to try the session IPA from Ballast Point. They mention 10 malts and 6 hop varieties on the website and this thing clocks in at a mere 3.8%. #Intrigued.

I still have one that I might take care of later today. Also have a Rogue Farms 7 HOP IPA I need to drink before too long.
But I went to the store today to look and left with nothing so I think I have enough to survive on.

Today's haul:
From left to right:
Coronado Mermaid's Red: A lovely amber with a hoppy kick and rich caramel malt finish.
Stone Pale Ale 2.0! Woo hoo!
Almanac Blackberry Sour: Very limited release.
Almanac Pluot Sour: Also very limited.
St. Archer Mosaic IPA: From San Diego. I love me some Mosaic so I'm anxious to try this.
New Belgium Ginger Pear Beer: I bought this one hoping my wife will like it as she loves ginger brew in general.

What I got today for a mix six.
I've drank a lot of Rare Vos and had to get another one because it was saying PICK ME, and I've had Southern Tier Hopsun quite a few times and it is a good Wheat but with some Hop flavor. The other 4 will be new to me and I did that six on summer beers................. I did buy a 12 pack of Genesee Cream ale in cans to take out in the garden today.
Oh and one more thing..,.. a little chickie was giving taste samples of a Brooklyn Brewery summer limited when I was looking for the beer I wanted, She asked if I wanted a sample and I said of course, all needed was ID. So I whipped it out (the ID that is) That was a tasty beer but I think I'd like a bottle or Two to know for sure.........................

A little more than six, but this is what I brought home from vacation. Most (not all) are brewed in the Carolina's. I'm drinking the Westbrook One Claw as I type this. It's a Rye Pale Ale and it's very tasty. The one I'm most curious about is the Gose....I've never had one, so it will be interesting.

Please do a review of the Gose when you try it. I've never tried one either and I can't get my head around the descriptions of how they taste. I think I have a pretty good sense of your taste buds by trying your beers and seeing what you drink so I'd love to hear what you think of it.
When am I going to see you post that you picked up another Humulus Nimbus? I want to virtually enjoy that with you.

A little review on this..... and take it for what it is worth because we all have different taste. I'm not counting the Rare Vos because its not in the same category but I like that beer.

2} Captain Lawrence Sun Block
3{ ST HopSun, and this is close between this and the Sun Block
4} Saranac Summer Pils
5} Summer Shandy

One Claw is one of my Top Ten beers! I can't get it on a regular basis, but I have extended family a few miles from their brewery. So when I visit, I always pick up a sixer.
I don't get a ton of rye from it, but love the NZ hops. It's a real easy-drinker, but with lots of flavor and aroma.
I have a clone recipe for it, if anyone's interested.

Ok, not technically a mixer-sixer but the intent is there. After hitting 4 different taprooms yesterday my buddy and I picked up a few beers to split up.
On the left is Speakeasy's Baby Daddy Session IPA, modeled after their standard IPA which is Big Daddy. Love the brass knuckle pacifier and the blavk can.
In the middle is ANOTHER sour from Almanac. This one being citrus with Buddh's Hand Citron, Blood Orange and Yuzu. I had to Google 2 of those 3 things to find out what they were!
On the right, a bomber of Hermitage's single hop series IPA featuring Mosaic. Woo hoo!

As I mentioned in another thread it was BB2's Birthday and I took him to a bottle shop here that has been on our radar for a while.
I don't know if it is a chain, it is called Barrel Chest. Here's some pics...

Yo, birdee! A mixer-sixer means 6 beers. Looks like BB2 got you for 50! Is that because birds can't count?
Way to go BB2, taking advantage of the bird brain...
Enjoy your haul!
