I'll let you wreck the car first then I'll get in and drive when you've hurt yourself enough.
I'm going to my first local brewclub meeting week after next and plan on trying to learn a bit about it before I play with the older kids.
Knock yourself out!

Kegged a batch of Trippel Ale, while doing that I mashed a new batch of the same recipe. After the boil & chill, I pitched the new wort onto the yeast cake in the fermentor to start another brew. There is a lot of banana aromas coming from this Wyeast 1214, Chimay yeast.... Sample from the kegged batch tasted great! Finished at 8.6% ABV.

Reason one is that's a damn good beer.
Good for you Jeff. I'm having one tonight and it hits the spot!

Are you guys still using US04? I'm doing this next and was curious if you've tried any other yeast.

I'm still using it, yep. The only change I made to this recipe was to toss in a little Citra in the dry hop as well since I had some left over.
Otherwise this is a re-brew everytime.
To get the thread back on-topic: Last night I brewed with the Marris Otter LME and used up some left-over hops. I shall call this brew Marilyn (just because she's so dreamy) and will label it accordingly. Just the thought of coming home to Marilyn every night......

Kegged 5.5 g. Oktoberfestiv-Ale. The taste from the sample even flat and just slightly chilled seemed nicely balanced between the Munich, Vienna, 2 row and Cascade, Hallertau, and Tettnanger. Can't wait to get a taste of this carbed up and cold!

I have the Mr Beer fall seasonal from last year, Nut Brown Ale in the fermenter. I thought it was just ok, so this one will be a Bourbon Barrel Brown; soaking the wood cubes in Jim Beam now and will add to the last week of fermentation. I think this should be much better than the stock refill.

nothing. not a da/\/\ thing. got no money since moving. I got a lovely blichman burner and it sits unused. may the beer gods grant me a win in the pch prize thing so I can make beer again... going through massive brewing withdrawals. brewing is my only source of enjoyment in life.. sad aint it? think i'll toss some yeast in a bottle of soda so I can hear the cheery 'burp burp burp' of airlock activity and pretend im making beer.

I just bottled 2 LBK's and got 20 bottles of howling red and 21 bottles of uncle monkey's dunkle. Have two empty LBK's now so why not brew a Aztec Mexican cerveza and a punkin lager think i'll start that now. Won't have anything to drink (being a newbie and just starting), but can build up stock.

Is that a BrewDemon recipe?

Maybe you can tell me what you like to brew and I can send you some ingredients.......and who knows, maybe others will pitch some stuff in to.
I really believe when someone needs help, if I can, I try and help a bit. I know you don't need it to survive but ipf brewing helps your psyche, I'm game. While I can't send you a whole kit, I have lots of hops I can send and some 04 or 05, and some specialty grains.
Seriously, just let me know and I'll help you out.

Kealia; no both of those kits are from Mr Beer. Am planning on ordering from Beer deamon in the near future due to price of kits compared to Mr Beer.
