@ FIT I bet you can get ten times as much done as me before getting worn out. Your posts about cutting firewood etc. make me worn out. I'm a bit on the scrawny side but got to get it done so I usually over do it and end up half lame.

Phil I hope the first day on the new job goes well.

@ Big Papa That should be a sticky on the "Kilt Fans Forum". ;)

Like it or hate it, Inkleg's kilt is a conversation-starter!

Thanks again, everyone, for the well wishes for my new job. My first two days have been great! I'm liking it a lot more than my old job, and I feel more appreciated. Definitely thinking it was the right move.

Old news, the FL bill was heavily opposed thanks to awareness and it failed to have a house companion before the session ended. It's dead and buried now.
You'd better believe I'm watching for the zombie bill though, I fought hard last time and I will continue to fight harmful legislation.
Few things make me as angry as messing with my craft beer supply. I won't stand by idly as they try to stifle the growth of an industry I love.

Jivex5k: sorry as I didn't know the Florida bill had failed. I was posting more for the increased cost factor due to governmental interference in all states with taxes very similar to our gas tax etc etc etc.

Congrats to Florida for making it fail this time around.

There's something that I've noticed though with the brew-pubs I've gone to lately. But first, this is in Minnesota only. I've been to no out of state brew-pubs so I can't talk for them. Also, Minnesota used to have the law that Florida just defeated but has, sensibly, rescinded it.

But now to my point; The brew-pubs that I been to charge as much if not more for their on-site brewed beer as the craft beers I can get at the bars down the street. Why isn't the cost savings of not having to go through a distributor being passed on to the consumer?
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Just wanted to post a quick "hello", since I've been AWOL for quite some time. It's going to take me a bit of time to get caught up. Heh heh heh.

I hope everyone has had an awesome spring thus far.
