Since I am out of being able to brew for a while. I thought I'd mess around with Mrs B Smith for awhile. I am still trying to get everything to click. I have a rather weird rig, a stove-top HERMS. Capable of doing 10 gallon batches, 5 is better with the stove-top. My sparge water is what I use in the heat exchanger, to maintain mash, mash-out temp. I normally do a modified batch sparge, with a mash out. I either have a gallon or two of sparge water left when mashing is done or 1 1/2 gallon of wort left after the boil. My OG is pretty much +/- 2 points. I just don not get it

Wonder if you're having the same issue with the batch sparge that BlackDuck noticed. In your mash profile, click the white paper w/ the red check mark so you can edit the settings. Make sure under Batch Sparge Options you have "Drain mash tun before sparging" checked. It will adjust your sparge water volume so that you probably won't have sparge water left over or have too much wort left after boiling. With regard to the boil part, you might still need to figure out your boil rate and adjust that. At least your OG are within 2 points, as mine have been minus 5-7.
