Now that I'm home, I'll tell a bit of the story about how I stumbled into these. A brewer at one of the breweries that we visited on the Nashville trip had a Marine brother who found them in Okinawa, Japan at a PX. Apparently they occasionally get them there... Here's a pic...

Knowing his brother had always wanted to try one, he bought an entire case! And, knowing he was coming stateside, he packed them... in his rifle case!

Said brewer, knowing he didn't want an entire case, decided to put them out to some people in the local craft beer group. And so I find myself with two bottles... love my local beer community...

Oatmeal Stout at Czann's. Winter seasonal clearance day... buy a pint of stout and get a free growler of the same. Ken's gotta make room for the spring pils... Awesome...
