By commercial, I simply mean "purchased". It could be a major label or a micro brew, etc. - just not a homebrew gone bad.

For me, the first thing that comes to mind is a Blueberry beer I had years ago from Sea Dog Brewing. Took one swallow, poured out the rest.

I've a lot of beers that I don't care for, but this stands out as the worst I can remember.

I got one from a grand opening of a grocery store the other day that was selling growlers of local micros and it was not very good but the other one was good. Don't know if I should publish the info on them for fear of attack.
Never made a bad beer review before; is there going to be fall out?

Worst ever? Kirin? It came with a card of Japanese phrases, but drinking a lot would cause hari kari.

Tough to throw any professional under the bus, as they all deserve praise for doing what they do. But, I had a can of Bacon Brown Ale from Uncommon Brewers that was downright unpleasant. Not sure if it was old, infected, or what, but it was a gusher, and did not taste like (a) bacon, or (b) a brown ale. The drain got most of it.

Other than that, I think most brews that I did not like were primarily due to me not caring for the style -- nothing the brewer did wrong. I have to say, I'm not at all a fan of Magic Hat #9 -- it's fine for a sip or two, but any more than that...blech.

CC, Uncommon Brewers is only a few miles from me. I had that beer at a local beer fest a few years ago and I poured it on the ground, too.

That would be my second choice for sure.

And I'm not aiming to throw anybody under the bus but the reality is that there are some bad beers out there just as there are some phenomenal beers out there. We talk a lot about beers like Pliny, Heady Topper, etc. so I think it's ok to talk about the other end of the spectrum, too.

Sam Adams Porch Rocker nearly made me puke.

I'm not a fan of Endeavor and last week when I was in Mississippi, I found a Laughing Dog IPA that was pretty bad. Heck, I make better IPA's in my backyard.
I don't think I'm finished with bad commercial beers yet.

Blue Moon is one and Rockfish Wheat is the other.

I don't know what they put in Blue Moon, and I'm not sure which of the beers it was, but the flavor and aftertaste makes me wanna heave! Nasty to me!
The Rockfish Wheat tasted almost as bad. Got it from my wife's brother in law. He took a sip of one and poured it out. They say it has Hefe yeast, but I love and make a damn good Hefe. It doesn't taste anything like Hefe to me!

Back in the day it was Strohs and regular Iron City. Just awful and makes me gag thinking of it.
