This is my "house recipe". It's a good, balanced blonde ale. Some people have asked for the recipe, so here it is. Feel free to tweak it however you like. It's your beer.

FEDORADAVE'S AMERICAN ALE - 5 gallons

2-Row - 9 lb.
CaraPils - 1 lb.
Rye malt - 1 lb.
Melanoidin - 2 oz.

Simcoe - 1/4 oz. - 45 minutes
Simcoe - 3/4 oz. - 22 minutes
Simcoe - 1/2 oz. - 7 minutes

Crushed coriander seed - 1 tsp. - 5 minutes
Whirlfloc - 1 tablet - 5 minutes

WLP001 - 1 unit (yeast starter)

Primary fermentation for 2 weeks. Rack to secondary after 2 weeks. Dry hop 1/2 oz. Simcoe 24 hours prior to bottling.

That should be one pound of Carapils. I'll try editing the original post, but I seem to be having trouble with that feature right now.

Two weeks in the primary, one week in the secondary, dry hop 24 hours prior to bottling. Sorry I wasn't clearer about that; I've made mention of the fact that I'm on a 3-week rotation with my brewing so often, I forgot it might not be common knowledge.
