Steve, sorry you're going thru this. Its NEVER EVER anything we can get used to.

All I can suggest is to keep them alive in great memories and they'll never be truly gone.

So sorry, Steve. That's mighty harsh. Cherish their memories.

Because I've been at this conference for 4 days with no beer choice other than Bud Lite, Corona or Bud.
I don't like any of them so I've not had anything but I've been wanting a beer badly.
Home tonight!

I have a mild case of shingles. It's just a bit uncomfy and only a few marks on my upper back and I caught it early. So, while I may need a homebrew, I will have to limit myself while under medication for the next few days.
However, all of you who deserve a homebrew are allowed to have my share for the next few days.
But, I'll be back so don't drink it all!

Yikes!

Vaccine is recommended for 60 and older. A few years back, I learned that it was fully covered by our insurance company even though we are not yet that old, so we both got it. It is painful.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

It's not usually suggested you get it before 55 or 60 but I don't know why. And, unless it gets worse, I really don't feel too bad. Minor discomfort but everyone is affected differently and I obviously got a milder version (so far) and caught it early enough.
I'm still gonna have a beer tonite but it'll be a low gravity one for sure.
